The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the group access places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
